Heidi Heilman

Heidi Heilman is the Founder and CEO of Edventi, a curricula development company merging the most recent advances in science and research with cutting edge technology to provide substance abuse prevention education to schools and communities across the globe. 

Ms. Heilman’s experience in drug policy, prevention and treatment has helped advance the mission of several noteworthy non-profit organizations working to address substance abuse and addiction and promote healthy youth development. 

She led the founding and continues to serve as President of the Massachusetts Prevention Alliance, a nonprofit organization working to protect young people from addiction through sound drug and alcohol policies. 

Through her vision and leadership, she has successfully secured over a million dollars in grant funding and municipal appropriations to reduce local youth substance abuse through multi-sector collaboration. 

Prior to this state-level and community-based work, Ms. Heilman was the Director of Field Services for SADD National coordinating state and federal agency initiatives to develop and strengthen youth prevention education and leadership development in high schools and communities across the United States. 

Ms. Heilman began her career as a treatment provider at a youth drug rehabilitation facility in Oregon, followed by positions as an addiction prevention clinician and educator at both the high school and college levels in New England. 

Ms. Heilman earned an MSW from the University of Maine, and a BA in Psychology from Wheaton College. She lives with her husband and three young children outside of Boston, Massachusetts.
